The Effects of the Heat Treatment on the Crystal Structure of LiMn2O4

Abstract In this paper, an investigation was carried out to study the effects of the heat treatment on the crystal structure of LiMn2O4. LiMn2O4 can be decomposed upon heating and the decomposed product can form LiMn2O4 again under cooling in air and O2, which can be monitored using TG and XRD. After the heat treatment, the lattice parameter, the cell volume and the surface space of LiMn2O4 increase; but its density deceases. Temperature and atmosphere are main factors to affect the crystal structure of LiMn2O4 in the heat treatment.

热处理对LiMn2O4晶体结构的影响研究

X射线衍射(XRD)研究了热处理对LiMn2O4晶体结构的影响。TGXRD结果说明加热到一定温度时LiMn2O4会失重分解,但它的分解产物又能在降温冷却过程中吸氧生成LiMn2O4。热处理后,LiMn2O4的晶格常数、晶胞体积及其特征峰(400)的面间距增大,但密度下降。热处理对LiMn2O4晶体结构影响的大小与热处理温度和气氛有关。
