Electrocatalytic Oxidation of Carbon Monoxide at Carboxylic Multiwall Carbon Nanotubes Intercalated Pt Micro-electrode

Abstract With 0.5mol/L HClO4 as supporting electrolyte solution, the carboxylic multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) intercalated Pt disk micro-electrode exhibited high stability and strong catalytic effect toward the electrochemical oxidation of carbon monoxide(CO). Through the determination of carbon monoxide by cyclic voltammetry, the overpotential decreased 150200mV and oxidation current of carbon monoxide increased about 2.1 times on multi-wall carbon nanotubes power Pt disk micro-electrode than on a bare Pt disk micro-electrode. The current response was linearly dependent on CO concentration over the range 0.7252mg/mL at about +700mV relative to Ag/AgCl reference electrode, and linear equation is y = 0.00624x + 0.2299(mA) with a correlation coefficient of 0.9957. Detection limit was 0.60mg/mL and the relative standard deviation was 4.8% (n = 5) at room temperature.

羧基化多壁碳纳米管修饰微铂电极对CO的电催化作用

摘 要 采用浓混合酸对多壁碳纳米管(MWNTs)实现羧基化后嵌入到铂微盘电极中而制备了多壁碳纳米管粉末微电极,用0.5mol/L HClO4溶液作为支持电解质,多壁碳纳米管粉末微电极 CO的电化学氧化具有显著的催化效应,CO的氧化过电位降低了150200mV,峰电流提高了约2.1倍;氧化电流值与CO的浓度在0.7252mg/mL 范围内呈线性关系,线性方程为y=0.00624x + 0.2299(mA),线性相关系数为0.9957;检测下限为0.60mg/mL,相对标准偏差为4.8% (n=5)
