Electrochemical Bleaching of Bulrush Pulp Liao Shijun, Li Jianghua, Zhan Huaiyu# Abstract The
bleaching of a bulrush pulp by electrochemical method was introduced in This paper. The
effects of concentration of support electrolyte, temperature, cell potential and
processing time are investigated. It is found that by keeping properly higher
concentration of support electrolyte and higher cell potential it will enhance the
processing velocity, and the temperature shows very strong effect on the bleaching,
temperature raising could accelerate the bleaching process significantly. It is also
verified that electrolyte solution could be used repeatedly it means that the
electrochemical bleaching, comparing to usual chemical bleaching, could save water and
