Synthesis and Application of Glyoxal

Abstract This review outlined the elementary developments of glyoxal. The synthetic methods of glyoxal were summarized, and the oxidation methods of ethylene glycol into glyoxal in vapor phase were discussed. Some important applications of glyoxal were especially shown.
