Study on PP/SiO2 Nano-composite

Abstract Through blending method, the PP/SiO2 nano-composite was prepared by use of PP, nano-SiO2, interface treating agent and other agents. And the structure and the mechanic properties of the blend were analyzed and determined. The results showed that the tensile strength of the blend was markedly improved and had a peak value when SiO2/PP was 12/100(wt). And the breaking belonged to tough failure as SiO2 content was below 6/100. And the impact strength of the blend was markedly improved and had a peak value when SiO2/PP was 4/100. From the results above, we know that the nano-SiO2 has the strengthening and toughening effects.

PP/SiO2纳米复合材料的研究

摘要 采用聚丙烯(PP)、纳米SiO2、界面处理剂及其它助剂,通过共混法制备PP/SiO2纳米复合材料,对PP/SiO2纳米复合材料的结构和力学性能进行了分析和研究。结果表明:当w(PP):w(SiO2)=100:12时,复合材料的抗张强度大幅度提高并出现峰值,纳米SiO2含量低于6份时复合材料的破坏均属韧性断裂;当w(PP):w(SiO2)=100:4时,复合材料的冲击强度大幅度提高并出现峰值。由上述结果可知,纳米SiO2对PP有增强增韧功能。
