Progress in Total Synthesis of Sex Pheromone of Pine Sawfly MENG Yi, CHEN Ligong, GU Xianfeng, XU Yanjie Abstract The progress in total synthesis of
3,7-dimethyl-2-pentadecanyl acetate and propionate, the active component of sex pheromone
of pine sawflies Neodiprion lecontei and Diprion simili was reviewed. Several synthetic
routes of rac-3,7-dimethyl-2-pentadecanyl acetate and propionate, optical
3,7-dimethyl-2-pentadecanyl acetate and propionate were introduced respectively. The
research work of authors was descrited also.
